Long Island Advertising Agencies: The Video Game News To Consider In 2017

By Arthur Williams

Gaming in the past year has been nothing short of eventful. Everything from Game of the Year candidates like Uncharted 4 to the release of the NES Classic Edition drew the attention of tech enthusiasts around the world. Now that we are in 2017, it's important to make note of the most noteworthy developments to come. Here are just a few that Long Island advertising agencies across the board should focus on.

If you want to talk about gaming developments in 2017, you're going to want to talk about the Nintendo Switch. Even though this video game console was teased last year, it will finally be released in March. It seems like it will focus more on "hardcore" video games, which is something that, to many gamers, the Wii U lacked. It's hard to say if it'll be more successful than its predecessor, but the Switch's eventual release will be a newsworthy topic that will be covered by many.

There will be many gaming conventions and trade shows as well, but none as big as E3. This has been a yearly event since 1995, according to the likes of fishbat, and is open to those in the video game industry. What this means is that if you're a journalist, developer, or what have you, it's likely that you can attend. The events from E3 will be covered and the news will be consumed by many a Long Island advertising agency.

Perhaps the most popular stories, however, will be the one focused on the video games that people will buy and play. There are many big titles that people have been looking forward to since 2016, with some being more popular than others. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" continues an iconic series, while "Yooka-Laylee" looks to make a splash in its own right. These are just a few examples of content that gamers have to look forward to.

As a gamer myself, I'm looking forward to what 2017 brings, even beyond the developments discussed earlier. This is one of the many hobbies that I've invested time and money alike into, and I would like to see how it progresses. I'd like to see the new things that it brings to the table, in addition to the proven mechanics that can be built upon. It's safe to say that we will see plenty of interesting developments in the new year.
