In the engineering industry, it would be almost impossible to use the term construction without building commissioning also being used. This is the process used in verification of new constructions subsystems, interior systems, sustainable and control systems, water and lighting and security systems in an attempt to achieve the owners visionary purpose of the of the proposed project. Commissioning is required for almost all constructions of new buildings and when well-studied and enforced accordingly, one has more benefits to rip from the process than there are constraints. This may not the cheapest process as it will require a lot of resources and also state of the art technologies put to it and this is a factor that sees many refrains from the process only to incur losses later.

However, not all choose this process due to its costs as it, not the easiest as it has a long procedure that must be followed for over the top success to be achieved. But ignoring this process often proves to be a bad decision as the failures associated with it are very damaging and usually, lead to the collapse of the construction systems which can prove to be very dangerous and brings in a lot of uncontrollable loses.

A well-commissioned structure can be very easily distinguished from others even though outward appearances, this is so since maintainability becomes easier as very few resources are put to constant system failures and hence the comfort levels of those using the structure is very high and also has a longer life-cycle than a structure that opted to use cheap and not so well thought of systems.

The prior activities have been done lightly but for equipment testing, one will need to get into deeper details and conduct a pre-functional performance testing. When it comes to successful construction, the best of equipments should be put to use and for this to actually happen the commissioning agent will test all equipments in detail and ensure that the right equipment is installed in the right place.

A non commissioned construction then ends up lowering the value of the asset at hand rather than actually increasing it. The buildings owner may want to get the best results out of her property but a poorly constructed construction will not attract the type of clients she wants keeping in mind that her expectations in terms of design were not even met and there is zero accountability.

The main reason for construction is to get the best results out of your construction; however, a construction that was not configured properly will make maintenance even harder as most resources end up being spent on systems repair meaning that it is most likely that losses will be encountered more than profits. Always focus on the future and the state the construction will be in then.

It is highly advised to anyone planning on engaging in a new construction to make use of structure contracting as not only does it create an atmosphere that encourages teamwork of all concerned teams but also corrects any sort of deficiencies that may have been encountered and also establishes accountability.
