Importance Of Labor Compliance Management

By William Reynolds

Labor is the effort that employees put in in order to achieve the goals that the company has set out to do in order to be a good working relationship between the employer and employee. There are labor laws put in place and cover both the employer and the employee. Labor compliance management, most commonly referred to as human resource management, is a very crucial department in every company. Below are of the reasons why.

The same way the constitution protects the right of the citizens of a country, the labor laws are there to protect all the staff of a company but more specifically the employees. For example, authorizing there be good working conditions for the employees and provide the workers with right to express. Through the human resources department, this is seen to and employees are taught how to handle themselves in an unsafe environment.

Through the human resource department, the labor laws look to make the worker as comfortable as possible to work in the organization. First of all, they conduct the orientation to ensure the employee knows their way around the company. They then proceed to train and development of the employees skills for maximum efficiency.

Employee protection is provided by the laws. This means that the rights of the employees are followed by the employer. For example, the work conditions are made into the required standards. Despite the relation taking the shape of a servant-master relationship, the employees rights cannot be abused. This means that they would never be overworked or paid peanuts.

The rights of the employer are also protected. Some employees feel that they could act however they want because there are laws put in place to protect them. That is why in turn, there are laws that the employer gets services that are worth the salaries they give. For example, there are standard working hours which are eight o clock to 5 PM.

There is the aspect of dual protection. This is whereby there are laws that dictate how employees should interact among themselves and how they should interact with their employers. Such laws assist in avoiding problems that no one would want to deal. They also ensure employees get the much-deserved benefits such as reduced medical care.

There is values recognition. This is whereby the laws acknowledge how much value the employees are to the company. This goes to say that employees should be valued and should be listened to. The same way children are not allowed to perform certain jobs, employees should also be considered. They should be made to work in their free time unless they are willing to.

These laws bring about economic stability. When they are all followed, there is balance in the organization. The employer makes all the expected profit and the worker receives the well-deserved compensation. The employee will be loyal and even go on to join the client market of the employer. They will also have been paid well thus they will be willing to spend part of their money on the products.
