Health facilities have been designed in such a way that they provide enough capacity to hospitalize those patients who are admitted as per the doctors directives. They are of different design depending on the patients condition. There are advantages that they offer to its users.

The purpose of the side rails is to prevent the patient from accidentally from the bed when they turn. This will prevent them from easily falling from the bed and find it easy to get out of bed also. Since it the whole activity involves monitoring, many experiences a lot of back pains as a result of bending frequently. Hospital cots are made in such a way that care cannot strain while administering their patients. They can be adjusted to fit the caregivers position where they can easily assist their patients. It hence offers a lot of assistance to caregivers to some extent.

Regular beds are made in such a way that it cannot be adjusted, unlike hospital beds that you can adjust their heights. It has the ability to lower and raise the height which makes it flexible for the caregiver to help their loved one. One can lower it when the sick person wants to get out of bed and later raise when they get in to prevent them from accidentally falling. Raising the bed to a comfortable will help alleviate backaches.

Also, some hospital beds offer cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) function in such a way that it has been lowered to enhance effectiveness. It helps those patients with cardiac problems. This will make it easy for the doctor to attend to the patient faster hence saving a life.

Also, such cots are made of a material that cannot easily break or slide a slippery floor. Most of them of metal which cannot easily break. This causes will help reduce risks during falling.

It helps prevent pressure sores that are caused by too much pressure on skin tissues as a result of limited movement. The side rails make them turn comfortably without falling hence preventing them from getting bed sores.
