Doctors and nurses carry this obligation with passion and that is why they are strict with every action the make. Failure to do so might cause panic attacks for the patients which will ruin the name of the hospital itself if not prevented.

There are many types of needles used in hospitals and medical clinics and each of it is meant for a specific use. Before knowing the types, one must know first how the needles work. As you might have noticed, during the injection process a tiny hole is being poked on your skin targeting your vein.

The distinct characteristics of these needles are not for aesthetic purposes only. Each is meant for a certain use, for a certain vein. The needles are divided into three different parts namely the tip which is what slits the skin as the whole body of the injection called the shaft. The upper part is which connects the needle into the syringe is called the hub.

The differences in its length, size and shape are not merely for the sake of decoration and style. Each is made for a specific use and it is important to be strict about it as it could affect your performance no matter how careful you are. The most common type of needle is called hypodermic. It is used to take out and put in fluids. It could also be used in different other things for like for research purposes.

There are a number of needle types that we can find in the hospitals or clinics and most of which are made of stainless steel. The first and most common one is called the hypodermic. This is used in injecting medical substances and also in getting blood from the patient. This is also useful in running a research and other developments.

The difference of the sizes, length and shapes all has a purpose and this is what we are going to find out. Being knowledgeable about these kind of things is not only necessary for those who are aiming to take a medical course but also to the patient. Having understanding on these things will help you know if you are receiving the right treatment method if you ever get hospitalized in the future.
